The Unified Booster Club organized the first ever joint athletic fundraiser in early November. Members of all sports teams were asked to sell 20 bags of softener salt to raise money. The sale went from November 7th through November 18th.

Each of the top four individual sellers are being rewarded with $50 from the Boosters. The highest seller was Bayler Kraus, who sold a total of 352 bags of softener salt. In second place were John and Isaiah Rieser, with 112 bags, followed by Adam Steffl from Sleepy Eye Public, with 88 bags. Max Deslauriers came in fourth, selling 83 bags of salt.

The softener salt arrived at the High School on Friday, December 2nd, and the last of the bags were delivered late in the afternoon of Sunday, December 4th.

Unified Booster Club member Pete Guggisberg estimated that the sale brought in over $10,000 in profit for New Ulm High School sports. Guggisberg added that the fundraiser went “relatively smoothly.”
