The college fair offered kids the chance to learn about the possibilities for attending college and to make direct contact with potential colleges. On October 10, 2023, an expo for prospective students was conducted at MSU Mankato. The opportunity gave the kids the motivation to search for a better path and gave them the choice to follow their aspirations.

The students from multiple schools are shown exploring the college booths at MSU.

Students who are hopeful to attend college gain a huge edge from the College Fair. The college fair offers students a direct route to their particular institution of interest because a number of universities will be present. Students would have the chance to understand college life before entering, better preparing them for the future.

“The college fair was fun and I liked exploring the options for my future!” Junior Evan Janni said.

Students had the chance to tell the colleges they spoke with about their academic success. Prior to the attendance, there was a pre-sign-up where the students were able to share their academic achievements using a bar code issued at the time of sign-up. The colleges would then be able to swiftly pull up the information of the student to see how far along they are in their academic education.

The College Fair was held at Mankato State University on October 10, 2023. The juniors from more than ten high schools were able to visit the college fair and explore their academic options.

“It is always so exciting seeing young people make plans for their future.  My hope is that the students came away with a positive experience and more importantly answers to some of their questions.” school counselor Ryan Zeimer said.
