On Feb. 27 New Ulm High School held the Big South Conference game to face Worthington Trojans for the big title of Big South Conference Title. Even though the score was tight throughout the whole game, The New Ulm Eagles still kept up the hard work and ended the game with a 93-87 win.

The New Ulm Boys Basketball in the past struggled to get The Big South conference title, but in 2022 they got their first win since 1995. Since then this is their third year winning. This team has come a long way, and the support and chemistry were obvious throughout the whole game.

With the big win, the New Ulm Eagles squadron went wild with cheer. “I am glad I get to experience watching sports with this squadron, even though there is other stuff going on between people in the end we all come together like a big family,” foreign exchange student Valeria Garcia said. The squadron is always there to support either their friends or their classmates, and even though the squadron has had a downfall; they come back with PRIDE and respect to cheer on their boys’ basketball team for this amazing win.
