On Friday night, January 19, New Ulm Area’s Wrestling team took a trip to Dassel Cokato High School, winning 71-0. New Ulm showed the state how good they are. With thirteen matches, New Ulm didn’t lose a single match, leaving only 7 of the 78 possible points (13 falls). The Eagles put up nine falls, two tech falls, one major decision, one decision, and not a single loss.

In referencing the final match, Evan Thompson said, “I knew the job wasn’t finished; I had to go out and end the dual.” New Ulm Area then went on in the night to get an impressive win over the “lean and mean” Foley (37-20) and won over Mahaca (60-12).
