New CTE instructor in the house

Or rather in the shop.

This year we have a new face around the CTE center. His name is Mr. Dustin and he’s here to change the program for the better. Dustin teaches Small Engines and Intro to Mechanics.

“This is my first year of teaching,” Dustin said. “I went to Weber State University in Ogden, Utah for 2 years to be a mechanic, and I fulfilled that for many years. But now I wanted to take a different route and pursue teaching.”

Mr. Dustin is considered a Community Expert, which means he can teach without having formal education training in the field.

New teachers are always a nice addition to the school, it just sometimes takes them a while to land on their feet. Mr. Dustin has landed and has been killing the game.

“It’s great to have Dustin around the shop. If I have a question or can’t figure something out, he’s always willing to help,” senior Brody Griebel said. Dustin has been helping students around the shop on some little projects. If someone needs a helping hand, Dustin will be the first one there.
