Hello, I am a senior at New Ulm High School. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends and family, and just live life to the fullest. :)

Over 100+ seniors at NUHS and Abby Fortwengler is the one in the spotlight. Many seniors have their own plan for after HS, either going into the workforce or furthering their education. Fortwengler is still unsure of what her plans are. As of right now Fortwengler is planning on going straight into the workforce. Growing up is scary, being an adult is very overwhelming. I just want to act like a child forever, Fortwengler said. Fortwengler is ready to graduate, May 2022 and show the world what she is made of.

Makiah Otto and the New Ulm Public mascot, starting the school year off with a bang. New Ulm Public High School, has their first pep-fest after having a rough year last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We start the 2021-2022 school year off by welcoming the new freshman and putting them in their place. Talking with Makiah Otto she says, “I wanted to give the new freshman my best advice to try and to advise them to aim for a high GPA because it’s hard to build it back up, and to obviously put them in their place by roasting them because they’re new to the building. It’s also been a tradition at New Ulm High School to pick on the new freshman.” Starting the school year off strong, can’t wait to see what the rest of the 2021-2022 school year brings for us high schoolers.
