The new FFA officer team selection process took place on April 7 and 8. This year’s officer team included 9 seniors and 1 junior, which opened many leadership opportunities for other members. A total of 17 dedicated FFA members were interviewed, all showing interest in stepping up and taking on more responsibility. The new officer team was officially announced at the meeting on Thursday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m.

The President
Alex Schroeder

Alex Schroeder:

  1. What are you most excited about next year as an officer? What are your goals for this year as an officer? Getting to work with the new greenhands and them all about FFA. My goal is to get more people involved and make them feel invited.
  2. How do you plan to make a positive impact on the chapter? Try my hardest to get others involved and make it better than what I found it.
  3. What ideas do you have to improve FFA activities or events? Submit more stories to KNUJ and get more New Ulm FFA stories in the journal.

And my goals are to help inspire other FFA members and to make an inspiring impact on the chapter.”
  2. How do you plan to make a positive impact on the chapter? “I plan to make a positive impact on the chapter by always including members in activities and encouraging them to participate in as many as they can.”
  3. What ideas do you have to improve FFA activities or events? An idea to help improve FFA events is to let members help decide what events or activities the chapter could do, so it is not just the officers choosing. Another way to improve activities is by having a variety of events and asking for feedback to help us improve.”
