Students, staff, and community members gathered bright and early in the school lunch room for a welcoming FFA pancake event held from 6:30-9:00 a.m and organized by the NUHS FFA group. FFA is a leadership organization rooted in agriculture.
“In celebration of National FFA Week, we hosted a breakfast with The Farm City Hub Club to promote agriculture and the leadership it develops in students,” FFA advisor Mr. Nelson said.
There are over a million FFA members nationally. This year’s event held about 350 people, not only the students and teachers but also families and members of the local community.
By opening the event to people outside the school, the group strengthened the connection between the school and the surrounding area.
“This is a community-minded way to connect with everyone and show what FFA is all about,” a member shared.
Guests enjoyed a warm breakfast and a friendly atmosphere. Events like this continue to strengthen both school spirit and community involvement, highlighting the impact of FFA beyond the classroom.
