Crosby Batt made the final shot of the regular season last Friday night against the Kasson-Mantorville Komets. It was an exciting moment for Crosby, the team, and the fans, as it was Crosby’s first varsity points of the season.
Crosby said he felt pressure from the student section to “shoot it,” and after making the shot, he was “cheesing” a little bit.

All season long, Crosby has been the heart of the team, bringing the energy and lifting everyone up. Crosby doesn’t play often on varsity, but when he does, he brings the energy.
Crosby never quite got a shot up during the season, but in the final moments, he ‘knew he drained it.’
The fans, but especially the basketball team, were waiting for Crosby to get his moment, and he finally got it. It was clear that the entire bench was pumped to see Crosby drain that three. Jayden Broste, on the team, even said he felt like “it was like a miracle… like magic going through my body.”
