Trayton Lage is one of the 185 students in the class of 2026. But unlike many of his classmates, he has only been attending New Ulm Public since his freshman year. He previously attended school at St. Paul’s, located here in New Ulm.
Trayton spends his time working at Menards here in New Ulm, pushing carts. He often tells his girlfriend that he is cold while he is at work. But he always pushes through, and he enjoys working with Kiefyr Griebel, a senior at New Ulm High School. He also sometimes works the cash register and puts items back on the shelves after a customer returns them.

Trayton drives an ‘O6 Chevy Silverado. He enjoys working on his truck. However, he also helps his friends when they need assistance. “I’ve done so much with my truck; there is too much to list off,” Lage said. A few things Trayton has done were add wheel spacers, tint, which includes a brow, subwoofers, headlights, tailights, and a CB radio that he uses to talk with junior Jett Volk while they are driving around. Trayton enjoys going on back roads, mudding, and taking rollers of his truck to post on social media. He enjoys driving on the KC road and 225th Street off of county road 27.
Trayton chose the CTE pathway because he didn’t want to do art classes. His favorite classes to take are anything to do with engines; his favorite is small engines with Mr. Dustin.
He enjoys driving around with his friends and spending time with his dad and siblings. Trayton has two older sisters, Zoey and Shaleah Lage. Trayton also has a twin, Talia Lage.
He shoots trap in the spring and enjoys ice fishing during the winter.
