The new New Ulm High School parking lot seems to be causing the students many problems and has been jamming up the roundabout and causing road jams on the street.

Students have been struggling to leave the parking lot and run to their vehicles after school.

Junior Cameron Mack said, “I get to my car as fast as I can to avoid getting stuck in the parking lot.”

Some students question how the lot is set up. ” I just wish they would have layed it out a little differently and made it flow more with the traffic,” Mack said. “I also worry that when more kids come to our school in the future, the parking lot will be completely full and have nowhere to expand because of all the construction around the school.”

Some students don’t have to enter the school due to their other classes – they get to leave or show up early or late.

Junior Brahm DeMarais said,” I have an early bird class, so when I get to school, there is no one in the parking lot and it is very easy to get in and out.”

DeMarais also said, “I leave school at the normal time and it’s a whole different world then. Every day it’s a struggle to get out of the parking lot and I worry someone is going to rear-end me when I’m leaving the parking lot because of how cramped it is.”
