Kelsey Brandt, known as Ms. Brandt at NUHS, has decided to leave the school. Ms.Brandt has been an agriculture-based teacher, teaching lots of classes, from crops and soils to animal science, and even Eagle Enterprises, a business within the school. But Ms.Brandt has done more for NUHS. She served as the head advisor for NUHS FFA as well.
Anyone who had Ms.Brandt in any classes knew how fun, laid back, and cool she can be not just as a teacher, but as a person as well. “I have always liked Ms.Brandt as a teacher because of how chill she is,” said Luke Suess, a student of Brandt. Ms. Brandt always did her best to teach the information, while having fun. For some classes, she would even bring Stanley, her black lab, for labs to help teach, or just to have a fun furry friend around in class.
Brandt always wanted the best for all of her students, helping them with anything they may have needed. “I always want all the kids, no matter who they are, to be successful in my classes,” she said. “I will miss all of the kids here a lot”
Brandt was a teacher that you could count on to get you the information you needed for the upcoming test or quiz while making class as laid back as possible. She will be missed here at New Ulm High School.
Ms. Brandt’s last day was March 28, 2024. We say farewell and wish her the best.
