On Tuesday, May 9 Mrs. Thursby’s Theater Class went to Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter to see the school’s production of King Lear. They put on a matinee performance at 10:00 for high schools. Along with NUHS, students from Saint Peter, Mankato East, Nicollet, and Minnesota New Country were in attendance of the spectacular play. King Lear is a play written by WIlliam Shakespeare that is about a king, King Lear, who is trying to divide up his kingdom for his three daughters, Cordelia, Goneril, and Regan, but loses his mind from all of the madness. Former NUHS student, Clay Sletta plays the role of Edgar and graduated from NUHS in 2014. The production still has some shows this weekend on Friday May 12 and Saturday May 13 at 7:30 and on Sunday at 2:00, for those who want to see.

The students got a quick picture with Clay Sletta, who plays Edgar.
