Finals here at New Ulm High School are right around the corner and students are anxiously waiting for a fresh start. As second semester creeps closer and closer many students look to get back on track. When starting a new semester in high school, there’s a lot of change that takes awhile to get used to. I interviewed several students here at NUHS and got their thoughts on ways to make second semester a successful one. “I feel if you come into second semester with a positive mindset and keep that mindset the whole way through, you will do just fine,” said junior Braden Zimmerman.

For many students this is easier said than done. Going into second semester can be a real challenge for students here at NHUS. Junior Jaden Domeier said, “Going into second semester can be real challenging because I have to start my classes over and work extremely hard to earn that A.” Senior Hunter Kral said she likes going into second semester because she likes how she gets a fresh start for grades and likes the new and different atmosphere for the rest of second semester.
