Purple Pride Days?

What are purple pride days and why are they important to our school? Purple pride days, more commonly known as purple and white days, are days when students wear purple and white to show school spirit. Purple and white days are every Friday. These are special days when students are encouraged to dress in purple and white to show school spirit and get pumped up for school. At the beginning of the day, the office draws names and they announce them over the intercom system. If the person they call is wearing purple and white, they win a free t-shirt.
“Purple and white day has been going on for 7 years now,” noted Mr. Ziemer, the student council advisor. The student council and faculty are thinking of changing up the winnings for the day, to maybe getting into an event for free or something that encourages more school spirit. According to Mr. Geister-Jones, “the days help school pride, and help get people excited about Fridays and school.” So everybody dress up in purple and white on Friday and show school spirit!
