Determining the Next Step… Where to go to College?
As senior year is winding down to its last few months seniors, Ramsi and Graden discuss how they chose a college to attend this upcoming fall.
As graduation day gets closer, many seniors are starting to make decisions on which college they should attend this upcoming fall. There are many factors to look into when deciding where to potentially further your education for the next two to eight years of your life depending on the person’s choice of study. I was given the chance to interview two seniors, Ramsi Forst and Graden Anderson to ask how they are deciding on a college and their future plans after graduation.
When interviewing Ramsi and Graden, I asked them both where they are going to school this fall and how they chose that college. Ramsi said, “I am planning on attending the University of Wisconsin Lacrosse to study Therapeutic Recreation. I chose this college because it was the place I could see myself for the next four years. It is close enough to home where I can come home a couple weekends a month, but far enough away from home where I can meet new people. It also has a good reputation for the major I plan to go into.”
While interviewing Graden, I learned he plans to attend South Dakota State University. He said he chose this college because, “it has a very prestigious nursing program which is what I plan to go into. It is also very close to most of my my mom’s side of the family and is an affordable college. The campus is also very big and I liked that none of my friends are planning on going there.”
