With building the new school, sports facilities were a must. Tennis has never been quite as acknowledged as most of the other sports high schools generally have to offer. I interviewed a few of the girls from the New Ulm girls tennis team on their thoughts of the new courts, and what the school could improve or add.

What do you like most about the new tennis courts?

“I like that all the courts are divided and you can watch all the games from one spot.” -Breanna Widmer

What would you add/change to the courts if you could?

“The only thing that needs to change is the wind screens, but I guess those should be coming.” – Rose Dobie

About how many balls do you think have been hit into the marsh/cornfield?

“I have only hit one, but as a team we’ve probably hit like 32 in there.” – Taylor Bolduan

The new tennis courts and all the new facilities are going to make the school united, and it is very nice to have all sports near each other. After a very well played season, tennis has come to an end for this year. There are however, still individual sections to be played on October 15th.
