Review of Thor: Ragnarok

Thor: Ragnarok was released on November 3, 2017

Recently I, Ronald Ritzer, saw the movie Thor: Ragnarok, which has slowly climbed the box office to one of the biggest superhero movies of all time.

The special effects in the movie are beautiful; they don’t look like they’re overdone or too choppy. The energy effects and appearance of the Fenris wolf and Surtur, a giant demon, looked surprisingly realistic. The acting is also pretty good, Jeff Goldblum probably had the best performance in the movie.

The action in the movie is awesome. Hela, the Goddess of Death, is an amazing villain who obliterates the good guys in a way people haven’t been exposed to in any other movies so far. In the movie the battles are toned down with humor and turned from lighthearted to intense and serious very quickly.

The only grievance I have about the movie is that there is a little too much humor in a dark toned movie. Otherwise I think this is one of the best marvel movies so far.
