Ditch Cleanup
On Wednesday October 11th, the New Ulm FFA and Co. Advisor, Jeff Nelson, hosted a ditch cleanup on the top of Highway 15 to Klossner, Minnesota. There were approximately 35-50 students helping pick-up all sorts of trash from swim noodles to pop cans. The New Ulm FFA has been performing this event since 1999 and Nelson thinks of it as “a great service project that helps us give back to our community by keeping it clean.” When the students were finished, the 15-20 trash bags were left there for the highway department to come and take, and the students were rewarded with free pizza and pop!
