Track team stuck in the bus on the way for their first meet of the season
Stuck in the bus

On March 21, the track team was going to MSU to compete in their first meet, but clearly, the bus had other plans.

After 20 minutes of traveling, the bus stopped working in the middle of the road, leaving our athletes without a way to make it in time for the warm-up. “There is a problem with the bus engine,” coach Rodriguez said.

The team waited for the bus driver to solve the engine failure, but with poor results. “We will have to change bus,” coach Hanson said.

While waiting for the new bus to come, the athletes used music to pass the time, and after 30 minutes, the new bus finally arrived. “It’s about time!” athlete Prue said.

Despite the journey being very tiring, the team managed to get to the first event in time by the skin of their teeth, with junior Riley Wilson managing to grab first place overall in the 60-meter sprint.

At the end of the day, the coaches congratulated the athletes for their successes and for the maturity with which they faced the stressful situation.
