Student Council took a different path for the 2025 Winter Dance, hosting it on Feb. 14  and turning it into a Valentine’s Day-themed event. An interesting divergence from the usual winter-esque dance that has been held in past years, the idea may be used in years to come.

“I think the dance was a lot of fun for those that came to it. We had good music, good decorations and a fun time of the year to have a dance (Valentine’s Day),” said Science Nelson, Student Council co-advisor. “It was, however, very poorly attended. This is a real bummer for the student council that puts in a lot of work to prepare the dance. Since this is not a new problem for the winter dance we will really have to analyze how important dances are to the student body before we plan any other dances in the future.”

There were many different views on how the dance went, and some people even enjoyed it with pizza. Student Ellie Anderson said, “It was fun, but not many people came, and the music was iffy,” a slight difference in opinion from the Student Council.
