New Ulm FCCLA is sending 6 students to the state competition which will be held March 28, 29, and 30 in Minneapolis. KayLee Evans, a junior, qualified for state; however, she will be unable to attend. Evans competed in the teach or train event, where she created a portfolio binder about three lesson plans that were taught to four-year-olds. “Volunteering is a great way to have fun while helping others,” said Evans. FCCLA offers real-world opportunities for members such as self-direction, leadership, and responsibility.
