Do you ever wake up in the morning and get excited to go to work? Most high schoolers would answer this as HECK no. But Celsey Achman says differently.

“I wake up excited for what I do and excited knowing this is just a step in the door to my career,” she said.

Celsey graduated from New Ulm High School in the class of 2022. Since graduation, she knew exactly what she wanted to do and where she wanted to go to college. Being the older sister is so hard…..right? She enrolled in a 4 year College at St. Cloud University to get her major in Criminal Justice.

At a very young age, Celsey always knew she wanted to be in the Law Enforcement field. Going back and forth from being a regular Cop, Trooper, and many more career paths, she decided to be a detective because “I want to want to make a difference in people’s lives, and it has always been an interest of mine, growing up watching Criminal Minds.”

Celsey moved away once college started in Fall of 2022 living in the dorms at St. Cloud State University, but only for a year before getting her own apartment in St. Cloud area. Since the Fall of 2022, she now lives in the Milacas area living in Onamia. She recently acquired a job as a Dispatcher.

“This job gives me good experience with dealing with hard situations and a good look in the door to what a good part of my career is going to look like,” she said.

After she graduates from college, she hopes to come home and land a job in New Ulm to be closer to family and friends at home. But until then, she will continue to take any and all opportunities to better her future and career and explore the many great things this job and her future have to offer.
