Many students can’t wait to go home and relax after a long school day, but for some the day isn’t over just yet.

After the 3 O’clock bell rings many students rush home after a long day of school. But for some students the day isn’t over – it’s off to work they go.

Meet Caleb Keech. He is 17, lives in New Ulm and is currently a senior at New Ulm High School. Caleb has been working at Walmart for a year now. He works 3 to 4 days a week and works in the electronics department. He said the most difficult task is “dealing with rude customers or when the day goes slow.”

Jason Malcolm is 17 and works at the front end of the store. He is a senior at New Ulm High School and has been working at Walmart for a year and a half. He also helps push carts if needed. He usually works on weekends from one until nine. His favorite part is meeting new people, while his least favorite part is “definitely the rude customers,” he said.
