The Eagles softball team has been pushing hard with sections approaching right around the corner. The Eagles being ranked number 1 in the section comes with much pressure. Sections started early this week (May 22); however, the Eagles got a bye for week one. Games begin early on Saturday at 10 am for your New Ulm Eags.
The Eagles played the Marshall Tigers, and it was a 0-0 ball game until the 7th inning. Ramsey Hopp laid down a suicide bunt and Maddie Backer scored to end the game. The Eagles then played the Mankato East Cougars, and that game was rough. The Eagles had error after error and just couldn’t seem to get ahold of the ball.
The Eagles move on to the next round of section and play Tuesday, May 28th against the Marshall Tigers for the 4th time this season.
