Plain Jane Public Walls

Am I the only one whose noticed plain walls? With the new construction of New Ulm Public High school, we are all very impressed with the results and beauty that has come. One problem, the walls in our school are very plain. There is nothing above our lockers, or on the walls. No posters, no pictures, and no art. Why is that? We have nothing to brighten people’s day’s, nothing to put a smile on someone’s face. How can we spruce things up? Posters or different variations of art drawn by our very own students and staff will greatly impact the beauty and recognition of our walls at NUHS. In other words,  we should bring beauty to a plain place. In an interview, I asked Jessica Miller, a senior at New Ulm Public, her opinion of the walls. When asked her opinion, she replied with “They’re plain and ugly. We should add school spirit to the walls.”
