In mid-March, the Eagle track season opened up with outdoor practices and beautiful days. But this wouldn’t last long as the snow and ice sent everyone inside.
With the first meet at Mankato State University’s indoor track not far away, this caused us to immediately begin training, with only a week and a half of practice Our track members marched into the dome with “confidence.” And they prevailed, trying their absolute best and some setting PRs at the beginning of the season.
On another note, the team’s first outdoor meet was April 4, providing the first chance to compete in a fully ranked track event, where all events are running on a true-sized track.
The meet was a success, with everyone doing their best, and freezing a little afterward, as it was chilly once the sun set.
