The New Ulm Eagles boys basketball team beat the St. Peter Saints on Friday, January 19. The Eagles had an extended break between games, that led to a back-and-forth first half. “The first 8-ish minutes were just knocking the rust off since we haven’t played in two weeks. Then we clicked and it was all up from there. They (St. Peter) weren’t missing in the first half but then we stepped up on defense and that’s what won the game for us,” said senior guard Will Fossen. Overall, the Eagles fought hard to get the win over their rival.
