Far from home

Far from home

Senior Kate Frauenholtz living in Missouri

With the end of the school year approaching fast, seniors are making preparations for their next steps in life.

Frauenholtz holds up her decision day poster on her balcony.

Kate Frauenholtz will be attending the University of Missouri beginning next fall, being one of this year’s seniors that will be traveling the farthest from home. Mizzou is about an 8-hour drive from New Ulm, and a 12-hour drive from her family.

“I am really excited about attending Mizzou. The college is beautiful and I like being in a larger city,” said Frauenholtz. “I am a little nervous about being so far from anyone I know, but also excited for new experiences and meeting new people.”

Frauenholtz is majoring in textile apparel management and plans on working in the fashion industry.
