From Fanny packs to Belt bags
The rise in Lululemon belt bags
For a while, fanny packs were the big hit, and the 80s and 90s were the significant eras for the new fashion sense. The controversy with the bags began when bystanders claimed the people wearing them had no fashion taste. They felt they were tasteless, horrendous, and peculiar. Women had purses that could carry everything they ever needed. So the fanny packs were worn by men, mainly to work out.
In the early 2000s, the fanny pack trend slowly went away as any old fashion trend did. The new trend started when the summer of 2020 rolled around, and Lululemon belt bags are now in. Spending anywhere from $38-$48 on a bag seems slightly outrageous; however, the amount these bags hold is immaculate.
Any small search on the popular app TikTok will show you how widespread the bags are. The company itself is top-rated for its athletic clothing, shoes, water bottles, and many more things. “I got my belt bag when the trend first started to see what it was all about; now I don’t think I can leave the house without it. It holds everything I need, so my hands are free, and I don’t have to worry about forgetting anything; it’s all right there,” Senior Jada Rahe said.
“I love the size of the belt bags; I can fit all my necessities in it without having to carry a big bulky purse,” Junior Chloe Geiger said. “Being able to adjust the strap size has been a game-changer. I can wear it as a looser cross-body bag, or I can make it tight to my body so I don’t worry about losing anything in it,” she added.
