New Ulm FFA students gather at lunch for the Tractor-roll-in on April 18th.

Tractor-Roll-In

One-time thing, or many for years to come?

On April 18, New Ulm FFA had its first ever Tractor-Roll-In, also known as “drive-your-tractor-to-school day.” FFA members drove their tractors to school instead of their vehicles. They also had a grill-out at lunch, where members could show others their setup. Bean bags were also played during lunch.

“It was fun,” said Ms. Brandt. Many students are wondering if this is a one-time thing, or if this will be the first of many. “We hope to have many more in the future,” Ms. Brandt went on to say. “We had lots of help from members to make it possible.”

Some students who aren’t in FFA wonder what the big deal is, or why people want to have a Tractor-roll-in. “Sometimes you just want to show off, driving a big rig to school for no apparent reason,” senior Marqavion Haefner said.
