Elkay EZ H2O
Students at New Ulm Public hadn’t been allowed to bring beverages into the classroom, that is up until this last year. With the beginning of a new year and new school, the board decided to allow students the option to bring water into class. With this old rule being lifted, the newly added Elkay EZ H2O water fountains would be seeing much more use. These fountains easily fill even the largest water bottles, while also saving the environment. With every reusable water bottle filled, the students and staff at NUHS are ditching the old one use water bottles for a more environmental friendly bottle.
With there being a total of seven of these Elkay EZ H2O in the new building, the amount of plastic bottles being saved is adding up. In total just over 37,000 bottles have been refilled using these fountains. Thats a whopping half ton of plastic saved just at NUHS alone.
