ESPN in the gym

New Ulm students bringing creativity to the student section dress up.

“No way dude is that ESPN?”

“No that’s just a couple of high schoolers imitating them.”

These high schoolers are Carter Lang, Carter Meier, Braydon Hoffmann, and Jacob Martinka. They came up with this creative idea to try and bring high energy to a very important boys’ basketball game.

“We wanted to spice it up a bit so we decided to have some fun and come dressed up as ESPN guys,” said senior student section leader Carter Lang.

The boys came dressed up, with headsets on, Chromebooks in front of them, and a cameraman beside them. They were commentating on the game and interviewed a few of the players after the game.

This game was the boys’ basketball conference championship against Marshall High School. The Eagles ended up winning with the help of the huge student section led by the ESPN guys.

Most of the time the student section takes up about 4 or 5 rows, but they came out full force tonight and filled the bleachers all the way to the wall for the important game.
