On Wednesday March 1 the New Ulm Robotics team departed from our High School for Duluth. We participated in the Northern Lights Regional competition. There were two regional competitions happening at the same time in the arena. This years’ game is based around steampunk and its gears. During the game, robots must feed a furnace with balls in either a high or low goal, place gears into propellers, or climb a rope with the robot. It was another complex game this year and our team placed 21 out of 60. It was better then the past years and the team only wants to get better. It was a lot of fun to watch and participate in.
