A No-Snow, Snow Day
New Ulm High School and the rest of the community were expecting a blizzard sometime around the evening of Thursday, February 23. The blizzard was supposed to last until Friday, February 24. Many sports and activities were preparing for brutal road conditions and the community started planning for lots of shoveling. New Ulm High School Superintendent Jeff Bertrang, made the call to close school on Thursday evening. Surprisingly, New Ulm, Minnesota didn’t get much snow at all. Many people were still happy to get the day off and enjoyed a nice, short 3-day school week.
