Eagles Hockey Fights Cancer
Eagles hockey takes on cancer. The New Ulm Eagles hockey team played Windom on February 14th. The team sold t-shirts, cookies, suckers, and accepted donations to raise money for the New Ulm Medical Center Oncology Center. The event raised around $1900.
Landon Strong gave the lead to Eagles in the 1st period 1-0. Kyle Tauer scored for the Eagles but Windom answered with a goal of their own 2-1. The Eagles then extend their lead by knocking in 4 goals in the 3rd period. The Eagles came away with a 6-1 victory. The Eagles will play their last regular season game on February 16th vs Waseca. Playoffs for the 4th seeded Eagles will play the 5th seeded Hutchinson on February 23rd.
