The Kick Off of New Ulm FFA

The New Ulm FFA Chapter is off to a start.

November 2, 2020

The New Ulm FFA takes a leap into the school year with meetings, games, laughter, food, and fun times, and the year is off to a great start.

With all the good times, “FFA helps you grow as a person in ways you don’t even realize. FFA is important for you to learn leadership skills and also it is a huge part of agriculture,” says Layne Bottin, New Ulm FFA Officer.

FFA has been known to “bring people together as a family,” senior Gracie Altmann and New Ulm FFA Officer said, and with COVID in full swing, “We have seen an increase in the number of members and people are becoming more involved.”

Throughout the school year, there are many events people can take part in, such as the AG show in the spring, the fall corn drive, monthly FFA meetings, food drives, dress-up days, and a blood drive. There are many different competitions also that take place throughout the school year, so if you are not one for ‘getting your hands dirty’ there is an event for you.

With all the unknowns and uncertainties, the New Ulm FFA is off to new beginnings even with the difficulties of COVID-19.
