FCCLA is a program the high school offers to students in grades 9-12. It stands for Family Career and Community Leaders of America. “The program is selling cookies today to raise money for the funds of their state convention. It will cover the cost of their hotel room and registration fees,” FACS teacher Mrs. Christian said. “Because not every student in the program is going to the state convention, we will keep some of the money and use it for the next year,” History Teacher and FCCLA advisor Mr. Janssen said.

Juniors Ramsey Poulson and Luka Deree came in during 7th hour to finish baking the second batch of cookies for the after-school sale.  This is the first year in FCCLA for both Ramsey and Luka. “I joined because it is a great experience and helps us raise money to go to the state convention,” Ramsey said.
