Eagles volleyball handle the heat of the concessions stands

The New Ulm Eagles volleyball team worked hard to fill orders at the concession stand Tuesday, Feb. 7 at the girl’s varsity basketball game.
At almost every sporting event the concessions stand is open. The people who work behind the counter are volunteers from other sports and their coaches.
The hustle and bustle of the concession stands can be overwhelming for some, so teams find it hard to find volunteers for events. Head volleyball coach Sarah Swanson-Cullen said, “Trying to get the team back together to work concessions can be really hard ’cause everyone is so busy with other sports and jobs.”
However, some people enjoy the hustle and bustle of the concession stands. Volunteer Amber Lee said, “I like working concessions. It’s fun to feel the pressure of the large crowd at half-time.”
