Mrs. Frank is a new counselor to New Ulm Public High School. Previously a hair stylist, and after getting her degree in Spanish, Mrs. Frank graduated from Minnesota State University with her master’s in counseling. She is now going onto her 10th year of being a professional school counselor. Before coming to New Ulm at the beginning of the 2017-2018 school year, she previously was a counselor at GFW, then St Claire’s Middle School. She is originally coming from Fairfax.

When Mrs. Frank was asked how she liked teaching in New Ulm, she responded, “I really love it! I cannot say enough good things!” Coming from smaller schools, she was nervous she wouldn’t be able to contact students as much as was needed, however, she realized NUHS wasn’t as big as she previously had thought. Already being here a semester, she expressed how much she loves all the staff and all the students she has come in contact with. Mrs. Frank hopes to stay here for the 2018-2019 school year as well, joking, “if they’ll have me back.”

An anonymous student was willing to express their opinion on Mrs. Frank after speaking with her roughly 4 times. Although only speaking to her a few times, the student feels like Mrs. Frank is extremely easy to talk to as she is very empathetic while one is sharing their feelings; she also tends to be very positive. After asking the student if Mrs. Frank seems to care about the students and love her job here, the student replied, “Yes, she definitely is very enthusiastic about her job and genuinely seems to care about the students here.” The student encourages others to go speak to Mrs. Frank if debating whether or not to.
