With the construction of New Ulm Public High School, we we’re given a beautiful theater for plays, musicals, and concerts. The theater is not only open to those of us that attend school, but for the public as well. According to Mr. Mark Bergman, NUHS principle, “The theater is very impressive, but not near as impressive as it would be without the 1 million dollar donation.” The 1 million dollar donation helped with the construction of the upgraded seating, catwalk with extra lighting, and all dressing rooms, costume rooms, makeup rooms and set building. The budget/cost of the theater was right around 3 million dollars. The beautiful maple wood, with cherry finish, lines the interior of the theater. “From the start day, in March/April, it took about a year to finish.” Principle Bergman stated.
