2022-2023 art budget and Mr.Janke's take on the sizes of the classes.
November 6, 2022

The 2022-2023 art program, which encompasses seven different classes, hundreds of students, and two art teachers, still has the same budget as it did last year, which is in the thousands of dollars. These classes consist of art foundations, drawing and painting, pottery, advanced pottery, advanced art, and digital art.
“Art foundations are up [students], and in pottery, I think she [Page] has a bit fewer kids. There are only 19 kids in advanced art, I also have one section of digital art instead of two,” Mr. Janke said.
There is a different makeup than in previous years. Janke says overall the art classes are currently stable and it’s hard to get more art classes with only one art room. Some of this budgeting goes to plaster, canvases, tools, clay, paper, and many hidden fees.
The art program is still producing pieces of art every day for the students to be proud of. They can keep their piece or get the chance to display their art in the glass case facing outside of the art room.
