Safe Things to do with your Friends during a Pandemic
January 14, 2021
Do you want to spend time with your friends and stay safe from COVID-19? After a few months of not hanging out with friends, I had to find a way to make things work in these trying times. In this article, you will be provided with ways you can spend time with your friends safely. Here are a few; Having a puppy playdate outdoors, Playing in the snow with masks on, Watch movies together on the internet.
Have a puppy playdate
A great way to safely have some fun with friends is to bring your dogs along. My friend and I brought our dogs to a park, it was fun social interaction for me and my dog. We were able to wear our masks and chat safely apart while watching our dogs play.

Playing in the snow
This one may seem childish but it might surprise you with how fun it is. There hasn’t been a lot of snow this year, but you can still find “snow mountains” (a large hill that is formed when parking lots are plowed) everywhere. Go visit a “snow mountain” with your friends (while masked up) and have a blast. My friend, her little sister, and I all visited a “snow mountain” right next to Washington Park. We had a great time climbing and rolling down the mountain. Nothing brings you back to your childhood like playing in the snow.

Watching movies with your friends online
Now this one may not necessarily be hanging out, but it is a great way to spend some quality time with your friends. There are various apps and websites that you can use to watch videos or movies with friends online. Some apps you can download are Airtime or Rave, both of which are rated 4.5/5 stars on the apple app store. You can also visit a website like watch2gether.com or Invited.tv. Victoria Zacate says, “I mean the app is literally perfect for watching movies with your friends. 100% the best social distancing way to hang out, watch a movie, and still talk.” With theaters shut down, people including myself have been dying to see movies with their friends, and this is the safest alternative.
In conclusion, there are many ways to have fun with your friends during a pandemic safely. If you’re dying to have social interaction there are three easy ways.
