The costumes were spooky, the houses were even spookier, but more importantly, the candy was sweet! Tuesday was Halloween, a day for kids of all ages to fill pillow sacks and buckets full of candy. At school, we saw a large variety of costumes, such as Georgie from the movie IT and the cast from Holes – and even grander costumes were seen Monday night on the streets or in the haunted middle school. The American Legion also hosted community Halloween treat night where many were sure to get an extra small bag of goodies! But all is not necessarily good: remember to check your or your younger siblings (assuming you have ones) candy, since this holiday tends to bring out the pranksters, and nobody wants any injuries.
