Eagles Volleyball: Off To Playoffs

As the regular season for girls volleyball comes to a close, they are now preparing for playoffs. The Eagles volleyball team will play number one ranked Marshall, in Marshall, on October 26. The Eagles were ranked eighth. New Ulm ended their regular season and are heading into playoffs with a record of 2-19, having wins against Lake Crystal and Nicollet.
When asked what the volleyball team will have to do in order to get a win against Marshall, Lizzie Shaul, a junior at New Ulm High School and defensive specialist said , “We need to work hard and not let everything get to our heads.” Sarah Longtin, captain and senior who has been the libero for the past 2 years, believes that, “Some of our team strengths is that we communicate well and we have a strong bond, so we have good team chemistry.” The Eagles had a game Monday, but practiced Tuesday and Wednesday to get prepared for the Marshall Game.
