New Ulm FFA Chapter returned to the New Ulm Farm Show, held at the New Ulm Civic Center. The FFA booth included baby chickens, baby lambs, baby calves, and a full-grown beef cow. There was also a pedal tractor route, so kids could learn to stay safe on the farm.

FFA adviser Mr. Nelson said, “I think the farm show had a good turnout; we could’ve had more vendors. I know the weather was not the best on Saturday, probably why not many people came out. Overall it was amazing to see all the FFA members getting involved with the kids and teaching them how to be safe on the farm.” The farm show is always a big hit for all ages, with so many events and activities.

This year’s New Um FFA T-shirts were for sale for $10, all sizes, first come, first served. Ms. Brandt said, ” If the weather wasn’t so bad, I think there would have been more people that would’ve come out. For our booth, the kids liked to see all the animals and not all the activities.”

Overall the farm show went well, and we can’t wait for the spring ag show at the New Ulm Middle School in late April.
