Eagle Enterprise takes on shed

Eagle Enterprises offers many different sorts of jobs/skills for the community.

November 7, 2022

Seniors Jack Albrecht, Wesley Grob, and Blake Soukup are a part of the New Ulm Eagle Enterprise and chose to take on a shed as one of their projects on the Eagle Enterprises project list.

Eagle Enterprise is different than any other class offered at NUHS, it’s more of a business with many different trades performed by kids with experience.

“I love having the opportunity to go out on our own during the school day to work on projects that we had to find and send estimates on our own,” Grob said.

Eagle Enterprise students are able to go out of the CTE center and work on projects as long as they log their hours like a real business.

“Personally I like having the freedom of being able to interact with the community and having the tools and experience to help them with projects,” Albrecht said.

The tools are supplied by the school, and the students have gained experience through pre-classes with Mr. Briggs.

The CTE center was donated to the school in 2020 with many new additions and renovations. Having the opportunity to introduce high schoolers to the real world is a huge step in life skills and experience. There have been many donations to add large expensive machines and equipment to help with projects and to teach the students.

As Eagle Enterprise continues throughout the end of the school year, the team of 9 individuals will continue to work on carpentry projects in the community and small engine services at the new CTE center.
