Theater students take the stage for practice

Every year New Ulm High School has a musical that they perform and this year the musical is the Addams Family.

The Addams Family was on Broadway in 2010 and they were able to start making the musical in 2007 when they got the rights to the script.

Theater director Mrs. Cowles said, “The Musical is coming together very well and it is going to be an absolutely amazing show. ”

Mrs. Cowles has been the theater director for 2 years now and she is also an English teacher at New Ulm High School.

Mrs. Cowles said there are a number of moving parts to the show, including dancing, music, set, lights, and sound.

“I think that everybody’s hard work is going to pay off. We are on track with the schedule, ” Cowles said.

They are going to perform the musical on Nov. 11 and 18 at 7 p.m. and Nov.12 and 19 at 2 p.m.
