On Tuesday, Feb. 3, NUHS students at the CTE center began learning how to build a shed to further their skills and education in the trades department and learn the basics of building houses. “While building this shed, the carpentry students learn many life skills, technical skills, and how to work together to achieve the best possible results,” Mr. Briggs said. Luke Steffensmeier and Ben Hohensee work together to construct and set the trusses on top of the shed to create the roof. Setting up the trusses is just one of many steps to complete the building.
