The Soaring Eagles Volleyball Team

The New Ulm Eagles Varsity Volleyball team is off to a hot start this 2021 season on a two-game winning streak. Their first game against Waseca was won 3-o along with another win against Blue Earth 3-0. The first game was in New Ulm against Waseca on Thursday, September 2. The second against Blue Earth was away on Tuesday, September 7th.
Senior Natalie Yackley, who has been on varsity for four years, was asked how she feels about the upcoming season after the Blue Earth game. She said, “We feel awesome! In both games, we were down 5 points and we stuck with it and pulled out the win in 3 consecutive sets. This gives us great momentum starting the season and I hope we can stay on top to take a win at the first playoff game.”
The team’s potential is high and they have everyone excited for the upcoming season.
